I bought the teapigs Popcorn tea (Genmaicha) from Amazon because I was expecting it to taste sweet like the popcorn you get at cinemas. How wrong I was! There is no sweetness to the tea, so prepared to be disappointed if you thought the same.
However, I was happy with this purchase because the tea is decent. It's light and the taste of both the green tea and toasted rice are strong, with the latter being slightly more prominent. After a few sips, the flavour of the toasted rice reminded me of the cereal Rice Krispies I had as a kid.
I wasn't expecting to see mini popcorn but there it was, along with the toasted rice and green tea in a pyramid bag.
Although this is a good tea, I won't be drinking it regularly as I'm not the biggest fan of the toasted rice flavour. If the green tea flavour was stronger, I think I would enjoy this more.
